2013 Favourites

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and it only seems appropriate to post my 2013 favourites today! 2013 was a really good year for me in terms of beauty so I'm really excited to show you 13 of my favourites products! This is going to a long one, sorry in advance!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution
I've really gotten into skincare this year and this L'Oreal Micellar water has been my favourite for removing my eye makeup. It dissolves makeup like a dream, it's really lightweight and refreshing to use in the morning or night! I did a review about it already, so you can read that here if you like!

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Boost
Out of all my skincare products this one has been my absolute favourites! It has really transform my skin, it's helped reduce the dry patches I get and helps my base products sit nicer on my skin. It has a nice gel consistency so it feels really lightweight on the skin and sinks in really quickly. Although it's pricey I will continue to purchase this because it's so goddamn good! It's by far one of my best finds this year!

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser
I've tried a few cleansers out this year and this one has come out on top. I'm on my second bottle of this, it lasts for a good while and you only need the tiniest amount, I can get away with half a pump and still get all my make up off! It's really creamy, hydrating and doesn't leave you skin feeling tight or dried out. It's the only cleanser I've been using for the most part of the year!

Una Brennan Superfacialist Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask
I love trying out new face masks and this one by Una Brennan is the one that really caught my attention this year! It's an amazing, high street, clay mask that deep cleanses your pores amazingly. I think it's quite comparable to some expensive clay masks! It really helps prevent spots coming through and removes all the dirt from your clog pores. A skin savoir in my eyes!

Clinque High Impact Mascara
As I've said before, I'm too bothered about high end mascaras but this one is incredible! It adds length, volume, it separates to create really beautiful fluttery lashes and lasts all day without smudging.  I also spoke about it here.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
I'm not lying when I say I've probably worn this foundation 96% of the year! It's so easy to wear, satin finish, nice light coverage enough to cover redness and actually matches my ghostly complexion. It's not drying, it feels light weight on skin perfect just for an everyday/lazy day foundation. I've just been reaching for this foundation pretty much all year!

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze
Needless to say that the Colour Tattoo's are incredible and most people love them! They are amazing to use on it's own or as a base under your eyeshadow! It's easy to wear, pigmented and mine hasn't dried out yet! During Spring and Summer I wore On and On Bronze all the time so it seems wrong not to include it in my 2013 favourites!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey
My tube is a bit battered up but that is only because it is so well loved! Honey is a beautiful neutral pink perfect all year round (I think) and I've been using it pretty much all year too! It leaves a slight glossy finish but then sets as a stain and then lasts pretty much all day. It's been amazing for college and just general long days!

Sleek Face Form Palette in Light
This is the only Sleek product I own but I adore it. I've always hear so much hype about sleek blushes and their contour kit so this little palette is perfect. It really lives up to the hype! I've got so much use out of this and I haven't even made a dent because the pigmentation is amazing! The contour powder is amazing and really suits my pale complexion, I've been so happy with this product over the past year.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I love all the RT brushes but the Expert Face brush is by far my favourite! It blends in base products amazingly, it's great quality and easy to clean. I don't think I could live without this brush and it's the only one I use to blend in foundation!

Soap and Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo
Most shampoos I use build up in my hair leaving it flaky and itchy (gross I know) but this one has a gel formula so it has no build up! I never thought think of Soap and Glory when it comes to hair products but I really love this stuff, It smells amazing, cleans the hair really well and lasts for ages! Perfect!

L'Oreal EverRiche Nourishing & Taming Conditioner
I picked this up when I saw Estée rave about how good this range was and I've fallen in love with the conditioner! It has done amazing things for my hair, my hair has become so soft and it isn't as dry as it used to be! I found that it takes less time to blow dry since using this. I will continue to repurchase this into 2014!

Aussie Miracle Recharge Moisture Infuser Leave-in Conditioner
I love Aussie hair products and this one stood out to me this year! My hair gets dry very easily especially after straightening/curling my hair so I like to spray this in after I've used heat on my hair just to give it back some moisture. It also helps de-tangle and soften my hair for 2nd or 3rd day hair!

If you made it to the end, congratulations! That's all 13 of my favourite products of 2013!
I hope you all have a good New Years!

Christmas Day

I might be a little late on the Christmas posts but I still going to show you what I got for Christmas and what I wore etc, on the day. I also just want throw in a little disclaimer that I'm not showing off and that I'm very aware how lucky I am!

I'm going to start with what I wore on the day which is this beautiful black dress (click here for a better picture!) that I got sent from a new online clothing store called Henri Castro*! The dress has a mesh top that leads down to a skater skirt dress, it has a collar too, with a button at the top to connect it (sorry I'm not very good at describing things, props to fashion bloggers). I paired it up with a statement necklace and few rings which aren't photoed above. I love this dress, perfect for Christmas day! They have a lovely little collection on Henri Castro right now, all the clothes are fantastic quality and good prices too.

On my nails I wore OPI Got The Blues For Red which is a lovely oxblood colour, which I love for this time of year, although you do need about 3 coats to get that colour! I'm not going to talk about it too much because I have a nail post coming out shortly. For my make up I just wore some eyeliner, mascara and the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107!

Finally, what I got for Christmas! My main present was a Nikon CoolPix L820 from my parents - it isn't photographed as I used it to take a picture of all my presents - it's an amazing camera and so far I'm loving it! I also got some much raved about Muji Acrylic drawers, I got a 2 drawers and a 3 drawer and it fits all my make up in beautifully. I got a Cath Kidston Camberwell Rose Washbag which will perfect for when I travel, I think it's beautiful as Cath Kidston stuff always is! I got some Soap & Glory products too which made me very excited! I got two of the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks in Plum Jam and Bashful, the Supercat Eyeliner Pen and one of my favourites The Breakfast Scrub (if you haven't given it a wiff I highly suggest you do!). My other presents where just little bits, like the Body Shop mini Strawberry set, a 2014 planner, lip balm, a fox cushion, chocolate and money!

I hope you enjoyed this little Christmas post! I'm sorry for the lack of photos and how long it was!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got everything you wanted!

Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter

I'm a huge fan of having dewy skin more so in the colder months because my skin gets so dry and dull. I heard Kate talking about this highlighter in some of her youtube vidoes and I thought I'd give it a try since it was 3 for 2 in Boots. You can purchase the Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter at Boots for £5.99!

This product is a 3  way highlighter (as it says), you can use it as a primer, a liquid highlighter or you can mix it in with your foundation. I've tried using it all these ways and my favourite way to use this highlighter is to use it as a primer, but not all over the face as I found it to be a bit shiny. I just put this on my cheekbones, down my nose and my brow bone!

I found the highlighter really nice, it's not shimmery, it just has a pearlescent glow to it which I really love. It gives an almost inner glow look to your skin. It's really easy to blend in, doesn't have a weird texture to it and it doesn't really have a smell to it either! Also it has a pump which is lovely!

The only problems I have with this product is that if you apply it all over the face, it can make you really shiny especially around the nose and chin area, so using as an all over primer and mixing it in with foundation is a no go for me! But just putting a bit of powder on top solves this but it's not something I like to do because of my dry skin.

It also noticed that since using this my skin has been getting pretty spotty around my cheek area, not really bad but just a few for me to notice! Something in it obviously doesn't agree with my skin which is a shame! I'm still going to use it now my spots have cleared up just to see if it was really this product! I really like this product and I'm hoping it wasn't the one that gave me spots!

Have you tried this product? What's your favourite highlighter?

November Favourites

It's the time for another favourites, and I can't believe it's December! 20 days till Christmas, I'm really excited! Anyway, on with the November favourites.

1. Soap & Glory Hand Food (£5.00)
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in another favourites post but I feel like I need to include again! I don't really venture when it comes to hand creams because this one just does the job. It's hydrating, none greasy and smells lovely! You can also get a little travel size so it's easy to travel with.

2. The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Body Wash (£6.50)
I got this in a haul and I'm in love with this stuff! I think The Body Shop make some of the best bath/shower products. This particular one smells amazing, I think it's the perfect autumnal/winter scent. I'm not good at describing scents but it's a non overpowering floral musk with some sweet notes mixed in. I find it quite hydrating on the skin and easy to lather which I like. Also, the ombre pink bottle is really pretty.

3. Rimmel Last Finish Soft Colour Blush in Santa Rose (£3.99)
I think Rimmel make really good blushes and this one I've been wearing pretty much everyday! Santa Rose is a gorgeous peachy pink which really suits my paler compexion, it gives a really nice healthy glow to the cheeks. It has a little shimmer going through not chunky, the perfect blush!

4. Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107 Wine (£5.49)
I think everyone knows about this lipstick as everyone has been talking about it on their blogs and youtube. I love this is colour, it's a gorgeous dark red lip that lasts ages on the lips. Again it's suits my pale complexion and is the perfect winter shade! My only problem with it, is that it is a little drying but nothing a little lip balm can't fix!

5. Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub (£5.25)
Going back to my lips being dry, if they are dry, this product has been a saint! This is actually my first Lush product and I'm really impressed. It's really nice to just pop (no pun intended) on before your lipstick or before bed, it's also really yummy to lick off your lips! Although I don't do too much of that because of the dry skin but still!

November favourites - done! What have been enjoying and are you excited for Christmas?

Boots Haul

So, Boots is still having 3 for 2 on pretty much everything and I just couldn't resist getting a 'few' things. Let just get right into it!

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation - (£6.99)
By far one of my favourite foundations that I always repurchase! It has light to medium coverage, SPF, great for my dry skin and it actually has a shade light enough for my ghostly complexion (010 Porcelain). It gives such a natural finish, I adore it!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - (£4.19)
Anyone in the beauty community knows about this concealer so I won't go into too much detail. But long story short, it's amazing at covering my blemishes and redness. I can't live without it!

Seventeen Skin Wow Primer - (£5.99)
I picked is up when I saw Kate use it in one of her tutorials, and since my skin has been so dry and dull recently, I felt like it needed a pick me up! It's meant to be a 3 in 1 liquid highlighter that you can use as a primer, or mix it in with your foundation or just as a normal highlighter. So far I'm really loving it!

Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Black Cherries - (£2.99)
I haven't got any really dark colours in my nail polish collection so I got this one which is just a really dark, vampy purple. Looks really pretty for Autumn/Winter, I think!

Rimmel Space Dust Nail Polish in Aurora - (£3.99)
After seeing a million and one nail tutorials with them using a gold glitter polish for an accent nail, I caved and got one for myself. I've heard some pretty good thing about the Rimmel Space Dust from Lily so fingers crossed!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me - (£2.99)
I caved (again) after seeing so much hype around the these lips balms, for only £2.99 it wasn't a huge deal if I didn't like it! I've tried it once or twice and I quite like it, I like the texture of it and tint it gives on the lips. But I'm not sure it's worth the hype as of yet!

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser - (£9.95)
I restocked on this because I had one the £5 off No7 skincare vouchers, it is by far one of my favourite cleansers! It's comparable to the Liz Earl Cleanse & Polish, it's really creamy and removes all my make up effortlessly. It comes with a Muslin cloth but it's nothing to rave about. I really love this and recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing, affordable cleanser!

L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverRiche Conditioner - (£5.99)
I've seen so much hype around this range that I couldn't resists trying something! I got the conditioner (obviously) for very dry and rebellious hair and I've used a few times and so far I'm quite impressed! A few things I've noticed is that my hairs takes less time to blow dry since using this and my hair is incredible smooth (no fizz yay!). Also, this products smells amazing, not joking!

Aussie Miracle Recharge Moisture Infuser Leave-in Conditioner - (£4.49)
I was looking for the Dove Leave In Conditioner after seeing a few bloggers rave about it but I couldn't find it anywhere! So instead I got the Aussie Leave In Conditioner, which I don't regret! So far, it's left my hair feeling soft, looking shiny and fizz free! One thing I don't like is that smell is a little bit over powering but it doesn't bother me too much.

That's everything I got at Boots! Sorry this post was so long!
Have you tried any of these products?

The Winter Essentials

Since I have pretty much dry skin and hair all year round, I always have plenty of hydrating product but I thought I'd talk about some of my favourites, more so for winter!

Starting with body products, The Body Shop Body Butter (£13.00) is by far my favourite body moisturiser. It's really hydrating and creamy, I find it great to use on really dry places like elbows and feet. I've already talked about this product and few of my other favourite body moisturisers here, if you are interested in reading about some more.

Also for body products, I think a good hand moisturiser is essential for all year round, but more in the winter. I don't really try out any different ones because Soap and Glory Hand Food (£2.50 - £5.00) just the job for me. A little goes a long way, it smells lovely and leaves my hands feeling really soft and supple.

My hair gets pretty dry in the winter, not sure why so I like to use a good hair mask to help hydrate my hair again. My favourite is the Charles Worhtington Intense Rescue Melting Balm (£16.99). You put it on before your shower/bath, wash your hair as normal and then you hair is left feeling really silky soft and nourished. A nice cheap alturnative is the Dove Repair Hair Mask (review here).

Last of all is skincare/face products (whatever you want to say!). For lips I have a very well loved Burt's Bees Lip Balm (£3.69), I have a review on this product already which you can read here!

For an everyday moisturiser I love the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser (£3.89), it sinks in really quickly but still leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated. I don't have much to say about this product, it's a bog standard moisturiser but I like how creamy and hydrating it is. Clicks all the basic boxes for me!

The last product is the Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Intense Moisture Mask (£8.99), it is by my favourite hydrating mask I've found! It's so soothing  and smells gorgeous but still really gentle and doesn't break me out. It leaves your skin feeling luxuriously soft and plump. I highly recommend for those you have dry skin to use this about 2 - 3 times a week and it will keep all that dry skin at bay!

That's all the essentials I need for winter! What are you essentials for winter?

October Favourites

I'm a bit late on my October favourites but it's only been like a week in so I think it's fine. I found a lot of good new things over the course of October and I'm really excited to share my love for them!

My first favourite this month has been Company magazine. I have to admit, I'm not one to really read magazines but this one has completely changed that, now I'm picking up every beauty mag I can find in WHSmiths! But I think by far Company is my favourite, it has a good range of content from beauty, fashion, interviews and bloggers! I really recommend it if you are looking for a good read!

2. MUA Matte Palette "Ever After" (£4.00)
I've been after some matte eyeshadows for ages and when I came across this MUA palette in Superdrug, I had to pick it up. I already have the Heaven and Earth which I love so I didn't think this matte palette would disappoint. The pigmentation is great, the shades are all gorgeous neutrals (apart from the blue!) and they are really easy to use. The two I've been loving the most is Penny and Chino, they look beautiful together!
This is more of a rediscovery for me, I've had it in my collection for ages but have only just started getting some use out of it! It's really nice for just adding a bronze-y glow to your face without being really muddy or orange. It's great for those with really pale complexions (like myself!). I've been using it constantly over October just to warm up my face!

I already spoke about this vaguely in my Mini Haul but I couldn't not include this in my favourites. It's amazing if you just to really need to hydrate your skin, I have quite dry skin and this has helped just avoid any more dry patches appearing and helping the dry patches I already have. It's quick, easy and does the job, I highly recommend especially for autumn/winter!

So as you can tell, I've been loving the Una Brennan masks! I have been pairing this with the Rose Moisture mask and it leaves my skin feeling amazing! This mask really cleans out the pores and removes any dirt on your face. It smells really nice, it's quick and easy to use!

Lastly is a new foundation that I've been trying out and so far I really love it! It's a perfect colour match for my ghostly complexion (I use 015 Porcelain). It's a medium coverage foundation but doesn't feel really heavy on the skin, it's quite a matte finish which I'm a bit bi-polar about but it is still an amazing foundation. I'll do a review on this once I've finish my trail for it but so far I've been using it pretty much everyday!

So that's all my favourites from last month! What have you been loving?

The Body Shop & Boots Mini Haul

On Sunday, I went up town to just browse (looking for Christmas ideas for myself and for others) and ended up getting a one thing from Boots and one thing from The Body Shop for myself! Oops!

White Musk Libertine Body Wash (£6.50)
I actually got this as a freebie,  so I didn't really buy it but hey. At first I wasn't really sure I was going to like this as I'm not a fan of floral scents but this is really nice and not overpowering at all! Although it's a floral musk, it does have sweet notes into it too which really works. Also, the packaging is really pretty; it is a plastic, pink ombre bottle with a white and sliver pop-up lid. If you are in The Body Shop, I recommend you smell this if you like musky scents. I think it'll be great for Autumn/Winter!

Superfacialist By Una Brennan Rose Intense Moisture Mask (£8.99)
I don't know about anyone else, but my skin has been really dry over the past few weeks and I can only imagine how bad it's going to get as we creep into the Winter months. When I saw Ferdie (ferdies-place) talk about this product in this post, I instantly wanted to try it out! I have a lot of deep cleaning masks but nothing that just add hydration back to my skin. It smells like distinctively of roses (as it would imply), which normally I wouldn't be very fond of but it's not too strong and as it is for sensitive skin I doubt it will break you out. I'm really excited to use this and I will put up a review if anyone is interested!

That's everything that I got! What have you been buying recently? Have tried any of these products?

The Lip Saviour

I spoke about the Burt Bees Lip Balm (mine is in honey) in my August Favourites, since then my lips have been through hell and back and I think it's only fair that I give it more recognition than I already have! During September my lips had a bad reaction to something (not sure what) but it completely dried out my lips and add on top the changing seasons, my lips were dry, red and very sore. It was impossible to wear any type of lipstick, it was really painful!

If it wasn't obvious already, this stuff saved my lips! It rescued my red, dry and sore lips in a matter of days (using it at every opportunity I got!). It feels really light on the lips which is nice because it doesn't make them feel greasy or heavy but it still kept them moisturised, plump and soothed. It sinks into the lips quickly so it's great for during the day or before applying your lipstick. It also smells fantastic and not too overpowering which some scented balms can be.

The only problem I have with this product is that the balm is really hard making it hard to apply across the lips, sometimes it feels like I haven't put any on. But I usually kept my in my college bag so it softens up a bit.

I'm not sure what sets it aside from other lip balms, but it was brilliant at helping my lips recover from that horrible reaction. It's pretty inexpensive at £3.69, it's easy to throw into my bag and just apply throughout the day! I'd really recommend this for anyone who suffers from dry lips.

What's your favourite lip balm? What other burts bees product do you like? Let me know!

September Favourites

Okay, here is the generic "where did September go?!" that I tend to do every monthly favourites but I mean it this time, It's honestly flown by! I can't even remember what I did this month apart from go to  college so picking this months favourites was difficult!

1. Batiste Hint Of Colour Dry Shampoo (£3.99)

I love Batiste dry shampoo, it's so handy when you needs a bit of texture, volume and 'freshness' to your hair. So I've been using the Hint of Colour dry shampoo by Batiste to do exactly that!  It doesn't leave that horrible white powder on hair like the original ones do. It's handy for college/work/lazy days because I can just spray it, rub it in and be done with it! It also smells good too, bonus!

2. Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream (£3.99)

My skin wasn't very happy in September (I'm thinking due to weather change) and I had dry patches and spots popping up around my t-zone for about 2 weeks! I rediscovered this cleanser in my collection and it was great to use my skin! breaks down my make up amazingly (even waterproof eyeliner and mascara) and leaves my skin feeling soft and not dried out and raw. Also has natural AHA's in it, so it mildly exfoliates the skin too. Not saying it cleared up my spots and dryness but it helped and I've noticed a massive improvement to skin since using this!

3. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz (£42.00)
Again, this was something that was lost in my collection but rediscovered! I'm obsessed with this highlighter, it add a gorgeous glow to my cheeks and gives an ever so subtle pink sheen too. What I love is that it doesn't make me look like a disco ball compared to some highlighters I have! I really like this paired with the Rimmel blush in Santa Rose too, my favourite cheek combo!

4. Clinique High Impact Mascara (£16.50)
High-end mascaras don't really appeal to me as high-street ones fit the bill fine for me but this is incredible! I don't know what sets it apart from other mascaras but it really does lengthen, add volume, defines and separates amazingly! It just makes my lashes look 100x times better compared to any other mascara I've used, high-street or high-end!  If you haven't tried this, I highly recommend that you do!

5. Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in #08 (£5.49)
I've been loving this lipstick throughout September and I'm sure I'll love it throughout October too! I did a review of it here, if you are interested! It's a beautiful rosey, my lips but better (ugh) shade that is really easy to wear. The formula is really creamy, pigmented, non drying and a great autumnal shade!

That's everything I've been enjoying beauty wise last month, what are your favourites? Let me know!

The Autumn Tag

I absolutely love autumn; It is by far one of my favourite times of the year! It is the perfect weather for wearing cozy jumpers and drinking far too much hot chocolate! When Carly from Sundays Grace tagged me in this I was over the moon! So thank you for tagging me Carly! Anyway, without further ado lets start the tag!

1. What is your favourite thing about Autumn?
As I've already said, the cozy jumpers and drinking way too much hot chocolate! But I do also love the fashion in Autumn, jumpers, boots, scarfs and the deep wine/burgundy colours! Oh that and conker picking, am I the only one that used to do that?

2. What is your favourite drink?
Hot chocolate, duh!

3. Favorite scent/candle?
Vanilla! Any sort of warm, musky vanilla scent is my favourite for Autumn! I really want to get Vanilla Satin by Yankee Candle for my bedroom this year, it smells heavenly!

4. Best lipstick?
Currently my favourite is the Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie for Autumn! But I really want to get my hands on Mac Syrup which I've heard is a gorgeous colour for Autumn!

5. What's your go to moisturiser?
To be honest I don't really change my moisturiser, the one I'm currently using the L'Oreal Triple Active Fresh moisturiser and it's kept my dry skin at bay. So that is my current go to!

6. Go to colors for the eyes?
I usually wear light brown neutrals colours on my lids, but for Autumn I like to wear a taupe brown or just darker browns. I love the MUA Heaven and Earth palette or the Rimmel Scandleyes Eye Paint in Rich Russet for creating these looks!

7. What's your favourite music or band/singer to listen to?
I don't really listen to a certain type of music around a certain time of year but I do like acoustic stuff like Ed Sheeran or Boyce Avenue. I'm also really obsessed with Selena Gomez' new album Stars Dance (isn't acoustic but it's pretty damn good!).

8. What's your favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots & a scarf combo)?
I love a burgundy skater skirt with patterned tights and a cute pair of ankle boots! I also love a pair of disco pants and a good scarf/snood too! I've been wearing this scarf a lot recently!

9. Autumn treat?
Apple crumble, mmm!

10. What's your favourite place to be?
I like being a home mostly in the colder months, but saying that I do like sitting out on a field or in the garden with my friends/family on an Autumn evening with a fire going or something!

That's the end of the tag! Here are the people that I tag:
Vanessa from citronandguavaberry
Inês from inespaul
Madeline from itsamadsmadsworld
Jenn from abeautifulzen
Ferdie from ferdies-place

I hope you enjoyed this post and please link me if you did this tag, I'd love to read it!

The Everyday Lipstick

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - #08

When it comes to lipsticks, I'm defiantly not one to wear a bright colours or a red lip all the time purely because I can't be bothered to fuss over applying and making it look perfect. I've recently found myself gravitating towards this for just a clean, everyday look.

This is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 08 (wish they had names!) and it is my perfect "my lips but better" (hate that phase) shade. It is sort of rosey pink shade which just evens out my lips and leaves a gorgeous demi-matte finish to the lips. Perfect for carrying around for college, work or just popping to the shops!

What I love most about this lipstick is the formula, it is a super creamy and pigmented. One swipe of this and my lips are done! It is so easy for me to apply this on the go, whether it be in the car or before lesson (no mirror needed, yay!). Sometimes I use a Real Techniques Accent brush and pat it on my lips, for a sheer wash of colour.

It doesn't settle in the lines of my lips and glides over any little dry patches like a dream! It doesn't dry out my lips either, which is great because most lipsticks dry out my lips very quickly.

Only problem I have with this is that it doesn't last for very long which sucks but I'm not complaining as I normally have to reapply my lipstick throughout the day anyway!

What's your go to lipstick? Let me know!

Wishlist #2

Autumn/Fall is by far my favourite time of the year and I thought I'd show the 5 things I'm wanting to get my mitts on this Autumn!

To my surprise I don't own a pair for dark blue denim jeans! So I've been on the hunt for a good pair and these ones from H&M seem to fit the bill. I think just a dark pair of jeans are just nice for Autumn to pair with a nice flow-y top and a jacket!

2. Light Brown Suedette Lace Up Desert Boots from New Look (£19.99)
I think ankle boots or just boots in general are great for Autumn and I adore these ones! On the back they have a gorgeous aztec print and I like the little heel too! I think these would look nice with the dark blue jeans!

3. Black Ribbed Disco Pants from New Look (£19.99)
Have you noticed that everything is £19.99 so far?! Anyway, I've wanted a pair for disco pants for a long time now and I think these ones will be nice to start out in as they aren't too shiny (not sure if I'm ready for really shiny disco pants!) I think it's nice alternative to leggings, which I seem to be living in recently!

4. Nude Pallete by Zoeva (£15.94/€18.95)
I saw Lily from whatihearttoday talk about this palette and I've been lusting over ever since! All the shadows in this palette are matte which sometimes I prefer over a shimmery shadows. It is so versatile and you can create any neutral look you want!

My skin gets extremely dull in Autumn because of the changing my weather etc so I love a good highlighter! Over the summer I've been using a Bobbi Brown highlighter but it has hit pan, soon to run out in about a month and since I've heard so many good things about this product, there is no doubt that I will be getting my hands on it this Autumn.

What is on your wishlist this Autumn? Let me know!

Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Classic

Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer (Classic) - £12.99

Ages ago, I was on the hunt for a good foundation primer and after doing some research it seems clear that this was a pretty great high street primer. I used it a few times and then it went into the back of my make up collection. But recently, I rediscovered it and have been using it pretty frequency! Unfortunately you can't purchase this online but it is still available in Superdrug for around £8 to £13! Although, there is also a cream version if this which is avaliable online. (weird!)

This primer really does live up to its 'velvet touch claim', it leaves my skin feeling amazingly silky soft and supple making any base products glide on like a dream!

It claims to fill in fine lines and deep pores leaving the skin feeling soft, uniform and matte. I wouldn't agree with all those claims as it doesn't fill in those fine lines as well I thought it would and it gives more of a semi matte finish than fully matte but, it does reduce the size of my pores greatly and does keep my skin feeling soft. It has no claim that it keeps your foundation on longer but I do notice my foundation looks 'fresher' for longer compared to when I don't use it (not by much though!)

The primer has a gel consistency which is nice as it doesn't feel heavy on the skin; it feels very lightweight. The gel is clear so you aren't left with any residue after applying. To apply I use either my fingers to or just use my RT stippling brush!

It has a handy pump which I like, but there is no way you need a whole pump of this stuff! About half a pump covers my face with ease anymore than one pump and it would feel a bit too greasy on the skin.

I think this would be great for all skin types especially normal to dry. Overall I think it a pretty good primer if you suffer with big pores and find it hard to blend out certain foundations! Not sure if I will repurchase though!

What are your favourite primers? Have you tried this primer? Let me know!

August Favourites

I honestly can't believe how quickly August has flown by! Where did the summer go? But I'm looking forward to Autumn, who doesn't love hot chocolate, jumpers and crunchy leaves haha?! Anyway, these are the products I've been loving over August:

Bit of weird one to have in your favourites, but I thought I'd start with the weirdest one first! Over August I had some seriously dry and irritated eye lids and this just cleared it complete in just a few days! It's not greasy or heavy and sinks into the skin quickly so you can put it on before your make up and not have to wait etc. It says it can relieve the skin of eczema, chapped skin, sunburn and nappy soreness so it's pretty handy if you ask me!

This is always a favourite for me but in August my skin had some dry patches but this just buffed all that nasty dead skin off and felt my skin feel so smooth and it just kept my dry skin at bay! It smells amazing and the texture of the product is amazing too, it's just like rubbing "creamy sand" (what) on your face. It's even good for those with sensitive skin and it doesn't leave you face looking red and feeling raw!

Again with the dry skin, my lips have been suffering with the dryness too! This has come in handy to just swipe over the lips when I'm out and about or just generally during the day as it's not too thick but it still gets the job done. It sinks in quickly and leaves my lips feeling moisturised and plump!

I picked this up in boots sort of out of impulse but I don't regret it! It's a gorgeous purpley red shade and is amazingly pigmented (swatches here). It doesn't dry out my lips and glides on really smoothly! I think it will be a nice colour for Autumn too.

I've been loving full lashes and this mascara is amazing at giving volume, separating my lashes and giving a natural look without making them feel brittle and look clumpy! Full review here!

I've been pretty lazy when it comes to eye shadow so, this has just been really easy to apply and blend out to create a nice bronze-y taupe colour over the lid. It hasn't dried out my eyes and it stays put all day! Full review here!

That's all the beauty products I've loved over August, what have you been loving? Let me know!

P.s I'm thinking of changing my blog URL as I'm not really a lifestyle blog, any suggestions? Do you think I should change it?

YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen

Shade 2 - for pink undertones!

I have heard a lot good things about YSL Touche Éclat range and when I saw this on ebay for £9 including P+P, it seemed wrong not to get it! I have to admit I was a little skeptical whether it was the real thing or not, luckily it was! I don't really like ordering beauty products of ebay? Am I the only one?

Like all YSL products the packaging it is absolutely beautiful! The box it comes in is gold, as well as the highlighting pen itself, which just gives such a luxurious feel to it! Although, I will say it does get grubby finger prints on it pretty quickly which is a downer, but it is easily cleaned. Inside the box there are a set of instructions on how to use it and where to use it which is always helpful!

The product itself is incredible; I first tired this under my eyes and it instantly brightened and illuminated my under eye area and made me looked more awake. Great for those who stay up late, like myself! Although don't get this mixed up with a concealer because as it says it is a highlighter and it won't cover those really dark circles and pesky blemishes, sadly! Under eyes aside, it great to use on the cheek bones, brow bones, bridge of the nose, around the lips and the chin to really brighten up your complexion.

It's easy to apply with the brush applicator and easy to get product out of the tube with the clickable button at the bottom of the pen. It is super easy to blend out too, I use my ring finger or my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush to blend it into my skin. The colour range is great too, most foundations/concealers etc are too yellow toned for my pink undertoned skin so it's nice to use something that matches perfectly!

I'm not really sure if it is worth full price (£25) but if you are wanting splurged on a really good creamy, highlighter then I think this is a good one to go for! Also, if you can find it cheaper on places like ebay, I'd recommend you pick it up! But if you are just looking for a good pen highlighter than their are plenty of drugstore dupes like the Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer (£4.99).

What are your favourite highlighters? Have you tried this product?

Back To School Make Up Picks

August is flying by and it hit me a few days ago that I'll be starting a new college in less than a week! So I thought it'd  appropriate to show some my favourite make up picks for school, college, uni or work!

Don't feel like you need to use all these products, switch them out to what you want or just don't include what you don't want!

I kept all the products highstreet so it's all affordable and in a reasonable price range, but like I said feel free to switch out products.
